Material structure

Surface layer:
Five-fold plywood surface layer bonded over the complete surface with an aluminium inlay (to AW100).

Advantages:

The aluminium inlay acts as a vapour barrier and prevents the house door blank from warping.

Inlay:
Alu comfort

Inlay consists of a combination of top quality SWL strip core and the injected liquid PUR foam.

Advantages:

AUpright annular rings of the strip core ensure absolute surface stability. The components are firmly bonded by the introduction of liquid PUR foam. With this production method, SWL house door blanks achieve optimum thermal insulation and minimum condensation formation.

Inlay:
Alu silencio

Inlay consisting of a combination of top quality SWL strip core and injected liquid PUR foam.

Advantages:

Upright annular rings of the strip core guarantee absolute surface stability. For special sound insulation the PUR core has additional sound insulation sheeting from the acoustic sector over its whole surface area.

PUR foam:
The liquid PUR foam is processed using a new technological method for SWL house door blanks and ensures:

  • High thermal insulation doe to absolute filling of the voids with PUR foam
  • Stable even under extreme temperature differences
  • Easy machining of glass panel openings
  • Compressive strength approx 200 kPa)
  • Low weight

Solid wood frame:
The frame is made from selected redwood or pine laminates and bonded in D4 quality. Even under the worst climatic conditions this laminated structure achieves optimum stability.

Stabiliser:
The specialist stabiliser is made from Delignit® plymetal. Even if incorrectly cut during subsequent machining, tools are not damaged.

Dovetail-joint:
Dovetail-joint connects frameparts with stabil.

Aluminium vapour barrier:
No compromises!
All SWL house door blanks are have an aluminium inlay over the whole of the surface layer and are bonded with the overall structure in D4 quality.

Strip core:
SWL strip core consisting of peeled timbers with upright annular rings, fully bonded, guarantees high surface stability.

Sound insulation:
SWL house door blanks are tested by an independent test institute and are evaluated to DIN EN ISO717-1.

Forced-entry resistance:
Safety is very important in all SWL's product ranges. SWL house door blanks fulfil all the necessary prerequisites in order to achieve forced-entry resistance to requirements classes such as WK2 and WK3.
