Instructions for use

Storage:
SWL house door blanks are individually packed in cardboard boxes. Lying on a 4-way flat pallet, the blanks can be stored in high-bay shelf systems under normal climatic conditions.

Control:
Each SWL house door blank is subjected to an intensive final inspection.

Edging band:
The edging band must be matched with the moisture of the frame wood in order to exclude subsequent sinkage. A D4 glue system should be used for the whole finishing.

Veneering:
SWL house door blanks are to be machined so that the veneering can work in a transverse and longitudinal direction so that any shear forces that arise do not have any effect on the stiffness of the door leaf.

Screwed connections:
In general: core diameter of screw = outer diameter of drilled hole.

Surface treatment:
The veneered surfaces are to be treaded in accordance with the varnish manufacturer's guidelines. When dipping or flow coating house door blanks, ensure that varnish does not penetrate inside the blank.

Glass panel openings:
The glass panel opening must be designed within the planned minimum spacings. Timbers suitable for outdoor use are required for the strip edges of the glass panel openings. Also observe the glazing guidelines.

Special case Alu silencio:

Our recommendation is to fit the glass panel opening with glass or other infill materials which atch the high sound insulation value of the SWL house door blank.

Veneering SWL house door blanks:

Adhesive:
We recommend our SWL adhesive, which we use for the whole construction of the blank. If you use other bonding systems ensure that a D4 adhesive is used.

Pressing temperature:
The SWL adhesive should be used at a temperature of 30°C. Observe the instructions for use issued by manufacturers of other bonding systems, however not over 30°C.

Structure:
SWL house door blanks have an absolutely symmetrical structure and so are warp-proof. When further processing the blanks, ensure a symmetrical structure with the same materials.
